The centre image of this campaign came from a personal series that Janai worked on with Simon Harsent titled ‘Into The Abyss’. Simon exhibited these as part of the Blow Up exhibition in the domain. (http://www.blow-up-pool.com/simon-harsent.html)
When approached by The Monkey’s creative agency to create a campaign for the Sydney Opera House he suggested using one of these shots, combined with a waterline and Sydney Opera House skyline.
The Ship Song project was a Nick Cave song that was re-recorded by over 100 artists and released on iTunes with an accompanying music video and 30 minute documentary narrated by Guy Pearce. It was a huge success winning 4 pencils at AWARD including a bronze for photography.
