Sunbeam
PHOTOGRAPHER – Penny Lane
AGENCY – The Works Agency
CLIENT – Sunbeam
STYLIST - Janai Anselmi
The Works Agency devised this almost slapstick campaign for Sunbeam featuring retro 50’s kitchen set-ups with tongue in cheek gags and modern appliances.
Wardrobe needed to be a modern twist on 50’s and 60’s aesthetic. Genuine vintage pieces didn’t quite cut the mustard visually. Janai workshopped colour palettes and a plethora of outfit options before the shoot day to ensure the right visual and contrast of colours across every set up. The result was a Stepford wives level of plastic perfection.
The kitchens in each scene were created in CGI but a simple mock up was built for shadows and to shoot the props on. The hero Sunbeam appliances were provided of course but all set dressing and secondary props were courtesy of JAS
Being one of Liz’s first jobs with JAS, we thought we’d induct her with a bang!
